Lorna Jackie Wilson is an author from Detroit, Michigan. She has an affinity for lyrical poetry, spoken word, and courageous conversations that speak to conditions in foster care. During foster care, writing became the catalyst to effect positive change. Initially, the harsh realities of life spilled into Lorna’s journals. However, the journals became a testimony to others, illustrating the life of an overcomer. Lorna is the Chief Executive Officer of Black Butterfly Books. She is a mother, grandmother, veteran, and an advocate for youth. She embraces family outings and ministering on the praise team. She holds two master’s degrees and retired from public education after thirty-four years. Today, she gives back by mentoring and facilitating speaking engagements that speak to trauma, the power of God, and access to His divine nature. “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty through God to the pulling down of strongholds.” --2nd Cor. 10:4
